So people want to know all the time, what exactly is Pirate Fight Club? And most importantly, can I talk about it? yes, you can talk about Pirate Fight Club. It's actually encouraged. And then the other question is, what is it? I started Pirate Fight Club about ten years ago. And what it is, is an open forum where I invite people in to ask questions about intellectual property.
And I answer those questions for them. I do this for two reasons. one is to help people identify and protect their intellectual property. But the other reason is to make sure that people understand what intellectual property is and how not to step on other people's intellectual property.
How to not become a pirate. You don't want to be found pirating somebody else's intellectual property because you could potentially face lawsuits. it ends up being a really big deal from a business standpoint, understanding how to protect yourself, but also how to protect yourself from infringing somebody else's intellectual property.
This is typically a live in person event and my next event is November 19th at Hansa Workspace at 505 Ellicott Street in Buffalo, New York. And there's more information on my website which should be included at the end of this video.
There is also a Zoom option if you're not local or if you just don't feel like leaving the house that day. You can ask questions live and I will answer your intellectual property questions there. Hope to see some of you there.
