Pricing

Patent Services

Provisional Patent Application

  • Legal Fee: $3,250

  • USPTO Filing Fee: $130 ($65 for micro entity*)

This application allows you to claim "Patent Pending" status and secure an early filing date while giving you up to 12 months to file a full non-provisional application.

Non-Provisional Utility Patent Application

  • Legal Fee: $7,500 – $10,500 (depends on complexity)

  • USPTO Filing Fee: $730 ($400 for micro entity*)

A non-provisional patent provides long-term protection for your invention and is examined by the USPTO for approval.

Design Patent Application

  • Legal Fee: $2,500

  • USPTO Filing Fee: $520 ($260 for micro entity*)

A design patent protects the ornamental appearance of an invention rather than its function.

* A micro entity must meet certain income and filing history criteria. For 2023, the income limit is $241,830.


Trademark Services

Trademark Availability Search

  • Legal Fee: $850

A comprehensive trademark search to identify potential conflicts and reduce the risk of rejection or legal disputes.

Trademark Application Filing

  • Legal Fee: $950

  • USPTO Filing Fee: $350 per class

This includes the preparation and filing of your trademark application with the USPTO.


Additional Considerations

  • Government & Additional Costs:

    • The above fees include the steps of preparing and filing the patent or trademark application. They do not include any additional steps after filing.

    • If additional steps such as responding to office actions or appeals are necessary, those fees will be quoted separately.

    • A deposit is generally required before work begins.
